In this tutorial you will learn how to create a Comparison Report.
A Comparison Report allows you to compare the data of selected user(s) or groups against each other. For example, compare the group 'Marketing' with the group 'Finance' and see how they scored on a course.
It's possible to select groups or (multiple) users. The main focus of this reporting type is to compare multiple sets of users/groups in the same course. However, it's also possible to select different courses. This might be useful when two courses share many similarities.
*We recommend to use Google Chrome to ensure an optimal experience when using AppicalNow.
Step 1. Click on ‘Reporting’ in the menu
Step 2. Navigate to 'Comparison' and click on 'select'.
Step 3. Click on 'Select a Course' and select the course that you want to include in this Comparison Report. This is the course that is used in the first column of the Comparison Report.
Step 4. Click on the '+ button' at 'Custom selection' to choose the users/group that you want to include in the first column (the course that you have selected in step 3).
Next, select 'Users' or 'Groups' in the menu on the left and click on the checkbox next to the user or group that you want to include in the first column. Click on 'Select' in the bottom right corner to confirm.
To create a report based on tags you will have to change te selection as well.
A 'Filter Tags' button will appear if the course that you selected earlier contains tags.
If you click the button, a pop up will appear where you can select which tags you want add to the filter. You will only see the users that have the tag or tags that you have selected.
Step 5. Repeat step 3 and step 4 for the second column.
Step 6. Click on 'Generate' or 'Export to PDF'.
Hooray! You now know how to create a comparison report!
