Overview
As a manager, you sometimes need to generate detailed reports on manager actions for analysis, but the process may seem complex, and the need for specific data can make it challenging to create effective reports.
This tutorial guides you through the steps to create a custom report on manager actions, whether focusing on a single manager, a group, or using preset levels. Follow these steps to streamline your reporting process:
Steps to create a Manager Report
→ Access the reporting menu and select Manager Report
Click on Reporting in the menu to get started.
Navigate to Manager report and click Select.
→ User Selection
Choose the scope of your report:
Single User (Manager): Generate a report for one specific manager.
Group Level: Select from available groups that have assigned managers.
Preset Level: Choose from available presets; the report will include all managers associated with the selected preset.
You can use the options 'All managers', 'Active managers', or 'Inactive managers' to filter the users. Then press 'Select All' or choose the specific user(s) you want to generate a report for. Additionally, you have the option to filter by the date of user creation in the top right corner.
→ Column Selection for Summary
Choose the specific data you want to include about the manager(s) and new hire(s) activity in your report.
→ Column Selection on Manager Overview
Decide what average data to include regarding manager actions. For example, you can find out the average number of logins across all managers.
→ Column Selection on Connection Level
Specify the data related to manager connections, such as whether a manager has sent a welcome message to their connections.
→ Generate Report
After selecting your columns, click on Generate report. The report will download as an attachment, containing multiple tabs:
Summary: Data specific to the selected manager.
Overview: Average statistics across the selected managers.
Connections: Details about the managers’ connections.
Note: If the report exceeds a certain size, it will be sent to you via email as an attachment. Also, you cannot run a report for more than 5,000 managers at once.
Important Considerations
Restricted Reporting: If you are utilising restricted reporting, the single user (manager) report option will be disabled. Reports can only be generated for groups that include at least five users or presets with a minimum of five managers assigned.
Access for External Reporters: External reporters, user managers, and editors will only have access to users within their designated group.
