It's possible to inform your users about certain events by sending them push notifications. You can set the trigger and edit the content of the Push Notifications through the 'Course Setting'.

Follow the steps below to learn how!

*We recommend to use Google Chrome to ensure an optimal experience when using AppicalNow.

Step 1. Navigate to courses in the menu

Step 2. Click on the gear-icon in the top right corner of the course that you want to style and click on 'Settings'.

Step 3. Scroll all the way down until you see "Push Notifications". Click on the button that says "Add Push Notification". A new window will pop up.

Step 4. To choose the event for which you like to add/set a Push Notification, click on the down arrow next to "Select a trigger". You will then see the available options: Story Unlocked, Inform, or Scheduled.

Step 5. Each event contains up to 5 push messages. The number of messages your user receives depends on their reaction: if they open the first Push Notification, they will not see any of the others. If they ignore the previous Push Notification (for example Message 1), they will see the next message (for example Message 2) and so forth until Message 5.

You can customise the message text to include your user name and course name, as seen below.
If you choose not to, the default text will appear instead. (That is the light-grey text that is there currently).

Once you filled in all the Message fields, click Save. The pop up window will close. To finalise the setting, click on Save Changes.

Step 6. After setting a Push Notification, you can edit or delete it by clicking on the edit/trash icons.

When sent, your Push Notification will look like this:

Bam! you now know how to set and send Push Notifications!
