We recommend to use Google Chrome to ensure an optimal experience when using AppicalNow.

Overview

In this tutorial, you will learn how to duplicate or copy a chapter in AppicalNow. This feature is useful when you want to create a new chapter that is similar to an existing one. Instead of building the chapter from scratch, you can duplicate it, then edit the new chapter and its pages to fit your needs.

Example: If you have a chapter dedicated to onboarding processes for one department and want to use a similar structure for a different department, duplicating the chapter can save you time and effort.

Steps to Duplicate a Chapter

→ Access Your Course and Editor

  1. Click on 'Courses' in the menu on the left.

  2. Navigate to the course where the chapter you want to duplicate is located.

  3. Click on the 'Editor' button in the bottom-left corner of the desired course.

→ Select the Story and Chapter

  1. Choose the story where the chapter you want to duplicate is located.

  2. Click on the 'View' button to open the story.

→ Duplicate the Chapter

  1. Navigate to the chapter that you want to duplicate.

  2. Click on the menu icon in the top-right corner of the chapter and select 'Duplicate'.

→ Choose the Destination Story

Click on the arrow from the dropdown menu, and select the story where you want to duplicate the chapter.

→ Wait for the Duplication to Complete

  1. The chapter will begin duplicating.

Note: Depending on the size of the chapter, this may take some time.

  2. Refresh the page to see the duplicated chapter.

  3. Once the process is complete, the chapter will no longer be faded, and the text ‘Processing’ will be gone.
