In this tutorial you will learn how to add an Image page.

An Image page contains an image and possibly a text. This page is very suitable for displaying a picture or image.

Supported image formats: .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, .GIF
Optimal ratio for image: 16:9. (See this tutorial on Aspect Ratios)

*We recommend to use Google Chrome to ensure an optimal experience when using AppicalNow.

Step 1. Click on ‘Courses’ in the menu on the left.

Step 2. Navigate to the course where you would like to add a new page. Click on the button that says ‘Editor’ the bottom left corner of the desired course.

Step 3. Next, select the story where you want to add a new page.

Step 4. Select the chapter in the menu on the left.

Step 6. Choose ‘Image' in the menu on the left and click on the button that says ‘Add page’ in the bottom right corner.

Step 7. Select the desired language.

Step 8. Give your new Image page a title.

Pages are set to ‘live’ by default but can be set to draft. Draft pages can be very helpful when you’re working on a page while new hires are already using AppicalNow. Click on 'Live' and select 'Draft' to change te setting.

Step 9. It’s possible to unlock the description text field by clicking on 'Unlock description'. You can give the users more information on the image for example. Note that this is optional and will reduce the height of the image because there is less space left if you decide to add some text.

Step 10. Optimal ratio for image: 16:9. (See this tutorial on Aspect Ratios)

Desktop: If you upload an image wider than 720px, a user will have to click on the image to show it in full size and zoom in. If you add a text with more than 200 characters, the web player shows the first part of the text along with a “Read more” button that leads to the rest of the text. When you click on ‘Read more’ the rest of the text will be shown as well.

Mobile: Image fits the size of the screen, clicking on the image allows a user to zoom in.

If you upload an image that is not 880 pixels in height and 460 pixels in width, it's possible to crop the image that you have uploaded.

Step 11. Once you’ve uploaded a picture in the Editor a ‘crop image’ button appears below the image. Please note that the button only appears when uploading a new image.

Step 12. To crop an image click on 'Crop Image'.

Step 13. Move the slider to the right to make the selection smaller, move it to the right to make the selection bigger.

Click on 'Crop' to save your selection.

Step 14. If a user clicks on the info button at this page they will see the text that you write in the text field underneath 'Info Button'. Use this to give the users more information on the question or the subject.

Step 15. At Page Options you are able to configure answer settings and advanced settings. If you enable the checkbox at ‘draft image’

Step 16. At 'Advance Page Option's you can convert your page into another page type. It will keep the fields that are used in the converted page (Title, Explanation, Correct/Incorrect Feedback and Info Button). You will need to fill in the answer options again.

Congratulations! You now know how to add an Image page.
