Overview
Adding an Info Spot page can enhance the interactivity of your course by embedding information directly into images. This is perfect for visually oriented information, like marking locations on a map, labeling important areas on an image or introducing the team for example.
Users can access details by hovering (on desktop) or clicking (on mobile), providing an intuitive learning experience.
Steps to Add an Info Spot Page
→ Select a Course
In the left menu, click on ‘Courses’.
Choose the course where you'd like to add an Info Spot page, then click ‘Editor’ in the bottom left of the course tile.
→ Choose a Story and pick a Chapter
In the course editor, select the story to which you want to add the Info Spot page.
In the left menu, select the chapter where this new page should be located.
→ Add an Info Spot Page and Page settings
Select ‘Info Spot’ from the options and click ‘Add page’ in the bottom right.
Choose your language and give the page a title for easy reference.
By default, the page is set to ‘Live’. If you’re still working on it, set it to ‘Draft’ to prevent new hires from viewing unfinished content.
Steps to add Info Spot in image
→ Upload Image
Click on ‘Choose Image’ to upload the image where you want to add Info Spots.
If needed, use ‘Crop Image’ to adjust the image size for better fit and focus.
→ Add Info Spots
Click anywhere on the image to place an Info Spot, which will appear as a circle.
Make sure the positioning highlights the intended areas.
For each Info Spot:
Add a short description that will appear when users hover (on desktop) or click (on mobile).
Click ‘+Add’ after writing the description.
Review the Info Spot placement to ensure accuracy, then click ‘Save’.
→ Delete Info Spot
To remove an Info Spot, select the circle you want to delete and choose the 'delete' option.
→ Re-uploading an Image with Info Spots
Re-uploading an image on an existing Info Spot page can sometimes misplace the circles in the user’s view.
Solution: To avoid this issue, create a new Info Spot page and upload the image there. This ensures correct alignment of the Info Spots in the Player (viewer) side.
