Overview

In this tutorial, you'll learn how to add a Multiple Choice Image page to your course. This page is perfect for testing a user's knowledge by requiring them to choose the correct image from a set of options. You can configure multiple correct answers for each question, and the correct answers will be clearly indicated to the user.

Example:

Imagine you’re designing a course about product knowledge. On this page, you might show several images of products, and ask the user to select the correct product based on the description provided.

📌 Important:

  • Browser Recommendation: We recommend using Google Chrome for the best experience with AppicalNow.

  • Image Requirements: Images should be 179px x 179px and cannot exceed 1MB in size for proper display.

Steps to Add a Multiple Choice Image Page

→ Access Courses Editor

  1. Navigate to 'Courses' in the menu on the left side of the screen. Choose the course where you want to add the new page.

  2. Click the 'Editor' button at the bottom left corner of the desired course to enter the course editing interface.

→ Select story and chapter

  1. Choose the story within which you’d like to add the page.

  2. From the menu on the left, select the chapter where you want to add the new page. If you need to create a new chapter, click on the “Add Chapter” option.

→ Add a Multiple Choice Image Page

In the left-hand menu, choose ‘Image Multiple Choice’ and then click the ‘Add Page’ button in the bottom right corner.

→ Select language and page name

  1. Select the desired language for your Image Multiple Choice page.

  2. Give your new page a name.

→ Write the Assignment

In the text field below the title, write the instructions for the user. Make it clear what they need to do.

For example, you could write: “Select the correct image below.”

→ Upload Images

To add images for the multiple-choice options:

  1. Click ‘Add Answer’ and navigate to the images on your device.

  2. Select the image and click ‘Open’.

Image Requirements:

  • Image size: 179px by 179px

  • Maximum file size: 1MB

You can add up to 8 images.

→ Mark Correct Answers

Click the checkbox in the top left corner of the image you’ve uploaded to mark it as the correct answer. If you want to allow multiple correct answers, select more than one image as the correct choice.

→ Add Explanation

In the ‘Explanation’ text field, provide feedback that will appear after the user selects an answer. You can use this to explain why a particular answer is correct or provide further context about the question. For example:
“The correct product is the one on the left, as it matches the description in the course material.”

→ Use the Info Button

Under ‘Info Button’, you can write additional details that will be shown to users when they click the info button on the page. This can provide further instructions or clarifications related to the question.

→ Configure Answer and Advanced Settings

In the Page Options section, you can configure various settings:

Answer Settings:

  • Importance (Weight): Set how important this question is in the context of the final score.

  • Provide Feedback: Check the box to provide feedback after the user answers.
