In this tutorial you will learn how to add an Multiple Choice Image page.

This page is great for testing a user's knowledge. On a Multiple Choice Image page, the user must pick the right image from a series of answering options (images). It is possible to set several good answers, please note that this is clearly indicated on the page.

*We recommend to use Google Chrome to ensure an optimal experience when using AppicalNow.

Step 1. Click on ‘Courses’ in the menu on the left.

Step 2. Navigate to the course where you would like to add a new page. Click on the button that says ‘Editor’ the bottom left corner of the desired course.

Step 3. Next, select the story where you want to add a new page.

Step 4. Select the chapter in the menu on the left.

Step 5. Choose ‘Image Multiple Choice’ in the menu on the left and click on the button that says ‘Add page’ in the bottom right corner.

Step 6. Select the desired language.

Step 7. Give your new Image Multiple Choice page a name. Click here for a guide on choosing a good name for your page.

Step 8. Write the assignment in the text field underneath the title. It has to be clear what the user has to do. For example: “Select the correct image below”.

Step 9. To add an image, simply click on 'Add Answer' and navigate to the picture on your device. Select the image and click on 'open'. Make sure that this image is 179 pixels in width and 179 pixels in height. Otherwise the picture will not be displayed correctly. The image can't be larger than 1MB in size.

You can add up to 8 answers/images.

Click on the checkbox at the top left corner of an image that you have uploaded to select that image as the correct answer. Every answer that has the ‘correct answer’ checkbox selected will be counted as a correct answer.

Step 10. The text that you type in the text field at 'Explanation' will show up after the user confirmed their answer. Write an explanation of the question in the text field. You can give the right answers in this screen after they confirmed their answers for example.

Step 11. If a user clicks on the info button at this page they will see the text that you write in the text field underneath 'Info Button'. Use this to give the users more information on the question or the subject.

Step 12. At Page Options you are able to configure answer settings and advanced settings. If you click on ‘Answer Settings’ a drop down menu will show 4 options. The first option gives you the ability to set the importance (weight) of this question. The higher the number, the more impact this question will have on the final score of this user.

If you select the checkbox at ‘Provide Feedback’ the user will receive feedback after this question. If not, the user will proceed to the next question without feedback.

If you select the checkbox at ‘Neutral Answer’ the user will not receive a note that the answer is correct or incorrect. They will receive a neutral version instead.

If you select the checkbox at ‘Mandatory Correct Answer’ the user can’t proceed to the the next question until this question is answered correctly.

If you select 'Only one correct answer' it's possible to select just one answers as the correct one. If you select 'Multiple correct answers' you can set multiple answers as correct.

Step 13. At 'Advance Page Option's you can convert your page into another page type. It will keep the fields that are used in the converted page (Title, Explanation, Correct/Incorrect Feedback and Info Button). You will need to fill in the answer options again.
