Overview

In this tutorial, you will learn how to add a Multiple Choice page to your course. This type of page allows you to test a user’s knowledge by presenting multiple answer options for a given question. You can also configure multiple correct answers, providing flexibility in the assessment. The Multiple Choice page is ideal for creating quizzes or assessments within your course to check the learner’s understanding of the content.

Example
For instance, you might create a quiz at the end of a module, such as a “Product Knowledge Quiz” where users select the correct answer from a list of options about your company's product features.

Steps to add a multiple choice page

→ Navigate to Courses Editor

  1. Click on ‘Courses’ in the menu on the left.

  2. Click on ‘Editor’ in the bottom left corner of the course where you would like to add a new page.

→ Select the Story and Chapter

  1. Choose the story where you want to add the Multiple Choice page.

  2. From the menu on the left, select the chapter where you want to place the new page.

→ Add a Multiple Choice Page

Choose ‘Multiple Choice’ from the menu on the left, then click on the button that says ‘Add page’ in the bottom right corner.

→ Select the Desired Language

Choose the language for the Multiple Choice page.

→ Name Your Page

Give your new Multiple Choice page a clear, descriptive name.

→ Set Page to Draft or Live

By default, the page is set to ‘Live’, but you can change it to ‘Draft’ if you are still working on it. Draft pages are useful if new hires are already using the system.

→ Write the Assignment

Write clear instructions in the text field underneath the title. For example: “Select the correct answer for each question.”

→ Add Answer Options

Click on ‘Add Answer’ to add your answer options. After entering the answer, select the ‘Correct Answer’ checkbox if the answer is correct. You can set multiple answers as correct, as needed.

  • To add more answers, click ‘Add Answer’ again. You can add up to 6 answers per question.

→ Add Explanation

Under ‘Explanation’, write a message that will appear after the user selects their answer. For example, you can thank them for completing the question or offer feedback.

→ Add Info for More Details

If you want to provide more details about the question, fill in the text under ‘Info Button’. This text will be shown when the user clicks the info icon on the page.

→ Configure Answer Settings

Click on ‘Answer Settings’ to adjust options like the importance of the question (weight), whether the user receives feedback after answering, and if a correct answer is mandatory before proceeding to the next question.

  • Importance: Set the weight for the question—higher numbers increase its impact on the user’s final score.

  • Provide Feedback: Select to provide immediate feedback after the user answers.

  • Neutral Answer: This prevents users from knowing if they answered correctly or incorrectly.

  • Mandatory Correct Answer: The user cannot proceed until they answer the question correctly.

  • Only One Correct Answer/Multiple Correct Answers: Choose whether only one answer can be correct or allow multiple correct answers.

→ Advanced Page Options

Click on ‘Advanced Page Options’ to convert the Multiple Choice page into another page type. The title, description, feedback, and info button will carry over, but you will need to reconfigure the answer options.
