Overview

This guide walks you through adding a Text page to your course. Text pages are ideal for presenting clear, concise information. Keep in mind web writing best practices, such as using short sentences, headers, bullet points, and hyperlinks to ensure your content is easy to read and engaging. Avoid overloading a single page with informationโ€”if your content exceeds three paragraphs, consider breaking it into multiple Text pages.

Steps to Add a Text Page

โ†’ Access your course

  1. Go to the 'Courses' menu on the left-hand side.

  2. Open the course where you want to add a Text page by clicking 'Editor' at the bottom left.

โ†’ Choose the location

  1. Select the story where the page will be added.

  2. From the menu on the left, pick the chapter to house the new page.

โ†’ Add a text page

  1. Click on the 'Add page' button.

  2. Choose 'Text' from the menu on the left.

  3. Click 'Add page' in the bottom right corner.

โ†’ Configure page settings

  1. Choose the desired language for the page.

  2. Name your Text page โ€” make it descriptive and clear.

โ†’ Add content to the page

  1. Write your content in the text field labeled 'Type your text here.' Include headers, bullet points, and hyperlinks for better readability.

  2. Use the 'Info Button' field to provide additional context or background information for users who click the info icon on the page.
