When onboarding new hires, delivering the right welcome message is crucial for setting the tone.This article outlines how to adjust and customize welcome messages through the Manager Toolkit, providing flexibility to cater to different onboarding scenarios.
There are three ways to adjust or customise your welcome message:
Default Message: The Appical platform standard message.
Editor customised message: Users with 'Editor' and 'Managers' accounts can edit the welcome message in the Manager Toolkit.
Player / Viewer personalised message: Users with 'Manager' or 'Buddy' group assigned can make changes through the player side of the app.
Postpone the welcome message: Users with 'Manager' or 'Buddy' group assigned can postpone the welcome message when they receive an invite.
Steps to tailor your welcome messages
→ Default Message
→ Editor customised message
Users with 'Editor' and 'Managers' accounts can edit this message per preset within the Manager Toolkit button in the left menu bar.
Note: In the manager toolkit you can choose whether the message should be sent as an email or as a push notification.
→ Player / Viewer customised message
When logged into the Player, the Manager, Buddy, or anyone with the assigned preset can further customize the welcome message as desired.
Postpone the Welcome Message
Managers or Buddies can choose to delay the welcome message when onboarding a new hire and send it at a more convenient time from the Manage Invite page.
When they are ready to send the welcome message, go to the new hire dashboard, click on the name of the new hire you want to welcome, select the three dots on the right side of their name, and choose 'Resend Introduction'.
