Users with the Manager role can now forward a new hire to a buddy or another manager without any actions needed from an User Manager, Editor or Admin. Note that this is an Advanced Manager Toolkit feature only.

Step 1. Navigate to the 'New hire list' in the Manager Toolkit. Once there click on the 3 dots next to a new hire that you are following and select 'Forward'.

Step 2. Click on 'Yes, forward this new hire'

Step 3. Select the user (with a Manager role) that you want to forward this user to. You can search by typing his/her name in the search bar or invite a new manager by clicking on the '+' button.

If the person who you want to forward a user to is not a Manager in Appical yet, you can send him/her an invite to create a Manager account.

**Manager accounts do not cost any licenses.

Click on the '+' icon

And fill in the required fields:

Click on submit to send an invitation mail to the email address that you just filled in.

An email address can be set that receives an email every time a user has been forwarded to a user that does not have an Appical Manager account yet. Please send a message to [email protected] or hit us up via the chat to let us know who should receive a notification once a user has been invited through the Manager Forwarding feature. See the image below to see what this email looks like:

​Step 4. If Manager Presets are used in your organization, you can set which preset should be assigned to the Managers that were invited through Manager Forwarding.

Note: The preset will only be assigned to new managers that were invited through Manager Forwarding. The preset of existing managers will not change.

Go to the Manager Settings and select the preset at 'Assigned preset when forwarding to new manager'.

The manager that was forwarded, will need to accept the user in the Manager Toolkit to start following the user.
