Overview
When creating onboarding content, it’s essential that new hires see only the information relevant to them—based on factors like country, office, or job profile. Without tags, each new hire might have to navigate through irrelevant sections, which could lead to confusion and inefficiency.
Example
A global company may want employees in different locations to see country-specific compliance training without duplicating the course for each country.
By using Contextual Content and tags, you can offer each new hire a personalised experience while maintaining a scalable onboarding process. This feature allows you to manage one course with customised content visibility, reducing as well administrative effort.
Steps to Add Tags to Users
→ New Users
When inviting a new hire, you can set tags based on the invitation type:
Single Invite: Tags will apply specifically to the invited user.
Open Invite: Tags will apply to all users using the same Open Invitation code.
CSV Invite: Tags will apply to all users listed in the CSV file.
→ Existing Users
Step 1: Click on 'User Management' from the menu on the left.
Step 2: Locate the user by using the search bar and click on their name to open their profile.
Step 3: In the user profile, click on 'Courses' and select 'Manage tags for user' for the relevant course.
Step 4: Choose the tags you want to assign to the user.
Note: Tags must be created at the course level before they can be added to user profiles.
