In this tutorial, you will learn how to deactivate a group in Appical. Deactivating a group will set the status of every user in that group to 'Archived', which means they will no longer be able to log in to the platform. You will also learn how to reactivate a group and restore the status of users to 'Active'.

Example: If you no longer need a group of users (such as a specific department) to access Appical. You can reactivate the group later when access is required again.

πŸ“Œ Important:

  • Archived users cannot log in to Appical once a group is deactivated.

  • If you want to reactivate the group, users will return to an "Active" status and regain access.

Steps to Deactivate and Reactivate a Group

β†’ Navigate to User Management

In the Appical menu, go to User Management. This section allows you to manage all user-related settings, including groups.

β†’ Click on 'Manage Groups'

Within User Management, click on 'Manage Groups' to open the list of groups available in your organisation.

β†’ Deactivate the Group

Find the group you want to deactivate. Once you've located it, click the toggle next to 'Active' to deactivate the group. Deactivating the group will change the status of all users in that group to 'Archived'.

β†’ Reactivate the Group (Optional)

If you want to reactivate the group, click the toggle next to 'Archived' to change it back to 'Active'. This will restore the users in that group to Active status, and they will regain access to Appical.
