In this tutorial you will learn how to (re)activate an Archived User.

There are two ways users get archived (deactivated):

  • A manual action of an Admin, Editor or User Manager.

  • Deactivation Date (set in user profile)

If an user gets archived they will get the following notification when they are trying to log in to Appical:

"Your account has been de-activated. Please contact your manager if you would like to regain access to your account."

Archived users will always have “Archived” in their profile and look faded in the user overview:

Step 1. Click on User Management in the menu.

Step 2. Type the name or the email address of the Archived User.

Step 3. Select the user by clicking on the checkbox on the left side of the user data.

Step 4. Click on Activate and again Activate in the pop-up screen.

If an user is Archived (deactivated) with a 'Deactivation date' you also need to open the users profile to adjust the Deactivation date setting. You can do this by clicking the dropdown icon at Deactivation date. If you do not adjust the Deactivation date the user will automatically be Archived (deactivated) again.

Example 1: Deactivate date - 16/05/2023

Example 2: Deactivation date - Infinite

Well done! You now know how to activate an Archived User and how to change the Deactivation date.
