Overview

This article will guide you through the process of resetting a user’s progress in Appical. This can be especially valuable when a user needs to retake a course due to updates or changes in course content. Resetting progress allows users to start fresh by clearing their previous scores and progress, which can be beneficial for maintaining up-to-date knowledge and ensuring accurate tracking.

Example

Imagine your organisation has significantly updated its onboarding course, adding new policies and revised materials that all users need to learn. An employee who completed the original course needs to go through the updated content to stay informed. By resetting their progress, you can ensure they restart the course from the beginning, allowing for a comprehensive review without old scores or progress affecting the new attempt.

📌 Important:

  • Resetting a user’s progress will erase all saved data related to the course, including scores and completion percentage, setting them back to 0%.

  • If the user is online when the reset occurs, they will need to refresh Appical to see the changes.

Steps to Reset User Progress

→ Access User Management

Begin by clicking on 'User Management' in the menu on the left side of the screen.

→ Locate the User

Use the search bar to find the specific user. Once located, click on the user’s name to open their profile.

→ Open Options

In the user profile, click on the '3-dot' icon next to the user’s name to open a menu with additional options.

→ Select ‘Reset Progress’

From the options, click on 'Reset progress' to delete the user’s saved data for the course.

→ Prompt User to Refresh

If the user is currently online, instruct them to refresh Appical to ensure the reset progress reflects correctly on their account.
