By setting a time-based unlock, you can control when certain Checklist items become visible to new hires, helping you to manage the flow of information and guide them through the onboarding process step-by-step.
Example
You might want a Checklist item for a specific task, like "Complete Benefits Enrollment" to unlock five days after a new hire starts, ensuring theyβve already reviewed foundational information.

Steps to Add a Time-Based Unlock to Checklist Items
β Access Course
Go to the 'Course' section in the side menu.
Choose the course you want to add the time-based unlock trigger.
Click on 'Editor'.
β Navigate to Knowledge
In the top menu, click on 'Knowledge'.
β Open the Checklist Section
Find the Checklist tile and click on 'View'.
β Choose checklist item
Choose the checklist item and click on the 'pencil icon' on the right side.
β Set the Unlock Time
Enter the number of days that should pass before the new hire sees this Checklist item.
Note:
'0' is the start date
'-1' the day before
'1' the day after
β Save Your Settings
Click 'Update' to confirm the time-based unlock for the item.
