Export text from all pages

Download text fields from all of the pages in a course in excel file format.

Overview

When managing content across multiple pages in Appical, there may be times when you need to export text for various purposes like copywriting, creating backups, or translating the material. Copying the text manually can be time-consuming and inefficient.

Appical provides a convenient export function that allows you to download an Excel file with all the text fields from your course’s pages. This feature is accessible directly from the course overview and offers options to export the text with or without HTML tags, depending on your needs.

Steps to Export all Pages

To make an extraction navigate to the Course overview, click on the menu and select 'Export' button.

→ Export Options

If you select 'Export' you have a few options:

  • Export all text to Excel: Get text in an Spreadsheet per story, chapter and page.

  • Export Player as PDF: View how the player looks like in a PDF document.

  • Export all text with HTML tags: Keep the whole styling from the Course.

  • Export all text without HTML tags: Remove the HTML tags from the document.

Note: HTML tags are useful for when you want to translate the text and re-upload it while keeping the same styling.

→ Export

Click on 'Export' and download your document.
