Overview

In this article, you will learn how to set up reminder emails for users who have been invited to your system but have not yet activated their accounts. By setting up these reminders, you can encourage users to complete their account setup by setting a password. This process ensures that no user misses out on activating their account and gaining access to the platform.

Example

For instance, when onboarding new employees, you might send them an invitation to create an account on your platform. If they forget to activate it, a reminder email helps nudge them to complete the setup.

📌 Important:

  • The reminder feature will only work for users who have been invited to the platform but have not activated their account.

  • The reminder emails will continue until the user activates their account or the reminder period expires.

  • Be mindful of the number of emails set to avoid overwhelming the user.

Steps to set a reminder for users to activate their account

→ Navigate to ‘Courses’

Click on ‘Courses’ in the menu on the left to open the course settings.

→ Access Course Settings

Click on the menu icon in the top right corner of the course you wish to manage, then select ‘Settings’ from the dropdown menu.

→ Set the Number of Days for Reminders

  1. Scroll down to the option ‘Amount of days users should be reminded to activate’.

  2. Click on the arrow next to the ‘-’ and select the number of reminder emails you’d like to send.

Note: This number represents how many days the user will receive reminders, starting from when the invitation was sent.

→ Customise Reminder Emails (Optional)

  1. If desired, you can scroll down to the ‘Emails for your end users’ section and customize the reminder email content.

  2. Choose 'Inactive User' option and click on the 'pencil' icon to edit

  3. Personalise the messages to make them more engaging and aligned with your company’s tone.

  4. Send test email to see how it looks before saving it.

→ Save Your Settings

Once you’ve set the number of reminder days and customised the email (if applicable), click ‘Save’ to apply the changes.
