Overview
Easily create interactive assign pages to test users' knowledge by having them match statements or facts to the correct option. This guide will walk you through each step to add an Assign page in AppicalNow.
Example
users can match company values, policies, or key products to their correct descriptions.
Steps to Add an Assign Page
→ Opening the Course Editor
Go to ‘Courses’ in the left menu and select the course you want to edit.
Click on ‘Editor’ at the bottom left of the selected course.
→ Selecting a Story and Chapter
Choose the story where you want to add the page.
Select the relevant chapter from the left menu.
→ Adding and naming the Assign Page
Click ‘Add Page’.
From the left menu, select ‘Assign’, then click ‘Add Page’ in the bottom-right.
Choose the language for your page.
Enter a name for the Assign page. Need help naming?
Note: Pages default to ‘live’ but can be set to 'draft' if you want to make it visible later.
→ Adding Assignment Instructions and Group Names
In the text field under the title, write the assignment instructions.
Make it clear, for example: “Link each track to the correct artist by sliding the answer left or right.”
Change the default group names from ‘Group 1’ and ‘Group 2’ to relevant titles.
→ Creating and Organising Answers
Click ‘Add Answer’ and type your answer.
Drag each answer into the correct group.
To remove an answer, click the 'trash bin' icon.
Note: You can add up to five answers per Assign page.
→ Adding Explanations and Extra Information
Enter Correct Explanation and Incorrect Explanation feedback, which displays depending on the user’s answer.
Use the Info Button field to add additional information accessible via the info icon.
Configuring Page Options
→ Answer Settings
Exclude from total score: Check this option to exclude this page's score from a users overall score.
Provide Feedback: Check to show feedback after the question. Leave unchecked for users to move on without feedback.
Visual Feedback: If this option is enabled, the feedback will show which of the selected answers are correct or incorrect.
Neutral Answer: This option provides feedback without indicating if the answer was correct or incorrect.
Mandatory Correct Answer: If enabled user can’t continue to the next question until the question is answered correctly.
→ Advanced Settings
Convert this Assign page to another type while retaining fields like
Title
Explanation
Feedback.
Answers will need to be re-entered.
