In this tutorial you will learn how to bulk upload words to your Glossary. Once you have added a glossary to your course it's possible to upload words one by one or per import. The import function allows you to upload a CSV or Excel file with words.

*We recommend to use Google Chrome to ensure an optimal experience when using AppicalNow.

Step 1. Click on ‘Courses’ in the menu on the left.

Step 2. Next, click on ‘editor’ in the bottom left corner of the course where you want to add a glossary.

Step 3. Click on ‘Knowledge’

Step 4. Navigate to your existing Glossary and click on 'View',

or ‘Add a knowledge item’.

In case of a freshly added Glossary, give it a name like dictionary and select Glossary from the dropdown menu.

Step 5. In case you've opened an existing Glossary, click on 'Import Word'

Note: You can only use 1 word

Step 6. Select a category or leave it as is.

Step 7. Download a template of the Glossary Import file by clicking the button below.

After clicking the button click on the download button. See the image below.

Column A: words
Column B: descriptions

See the example below.
Note: The file should be empty except for the words and descriptions. The first word should be at cell A1. The description of this word should be in cell B1.

Step 8. Go back to the Appical Editor and click on 'Add File'. Navigate to the file that you just created and click on 'Open'.

Step 9. Click on 'Start Import'.

Hooray! You now know how to bulk import words to your Glossary.
