Overview

Adding multiple words to your Glossary at once can save a lot of time and effort. With the bulk upload feature, you can upload words and their descriptions using a CSV or Excel file. This tutorial will guide you through the process step by step.

A bulk upload is especially useful when you have an extensive list of terms to add. For example, if your course includes technical jargon, you can organize these terms in a spreadsheet and import them all at once.

Steps to bulk upload words for glossary

→ Access Your Courses Editor

  1. Click on ‘Courses’ in the menu on the left.

  2. Find the course where you want to add or edit the Glossary, and click ‘Editor’ in the bottom left corner.

→ Navigate to Knowledge Items

Click on ‘Knowledge’ in the editor menu.

→ Access or Add a Glossary

  • If you already have a Glossary, navigate to it and click ‘View’.

  • To create a new Glossary:

    1. Click ‘Add a Knowledge Item’.

    2. Name the item (e.g., Dictionary).

    3. Select ‘Glossary’ from the dropdown menu.

If you are editing an existing Glossary, click ‘Import Word’ to start the bulk upload process.

→ Set Categories (Optional)

You can select a category for your words or leave it as the default category.
