Overview

The Course Editor is the central tool for creating, managing, and organising onboarding courses for new hires. It has been redesigned to give admins a clearer overview of all available content and faster access to common actions. Using the Course Editor, you can browse all courses, create new ones, manage course settings, and sequence stories along a visual timeline — all from a single interface.

📌 Important:

  • Deleting a course is permanent and cannot be undone. If you think you might need the course again, use the Archive option instead.

  • Story reordering changes are not saved automatically. You must click Save Changes to apply a new order.

Steps to use the Course Editor

→ Access the Course Editor

  1. To open the Course Editor, navigate to the Courses section in the left menu.

  2. You will land on the Courses overview, where all courses are displayed as tiles.

→ Browse and manage courses in the overview

Each course tile shows the name, cover image, number of assigned users, and last edited date. You can search, sort, and act on any course directly from this view.

  1. Use the search field at the top to find a course by name.

  2. Use the sort controls to order courses by name, last edited date, or number of users.

  3. Click the three-dot menu on any tile to access course actions:

    • Duplicate — create a copy of the course.

    • Export — download the course content.

    • Archive — hide the course from the active list.

    • Delete — permanently remove the course.

→ Create a new course

You can create a new course directly from the Courses overview in just a few steps.

  1. Click New Course in the Courses overview.

  2. Enter a course name and select your initial settings in the dialog that appears.

  3. Click Create. The new course will appear in your overview, ready for content.

→ Navigate the Stories timeline

When you open a course, the Stories timeline gives you a full view of all stories grouped by milestone and unlock moment.

  1. Open a course from the overview.

  2. Select the Journey content tab to see the Stories timeline.

  3. Scroll down to browse stories grouped by milestone (e.g. Pre-boarding, Onboarding) and unlock moment (e.g. "Day 0", "Day 7").

  4. Click any story card to open its Chapter overview. Each card shows:

    • Cover thumbnail and story name.

    • Number of chapters and live/draft status.

    • Unlock moment and colour-coded tags.

→ Reorder stories

You can change the order of stories within an unlock moment by adjusting the unlock moment itself. Stories can also be made "Available at start" which means it's available the moment the user accesses the platform

→ Switch display language

If your course supports multiple languages, you can switch the display language from the toolbar.

  1. Locate the language selector dropdown in the toolbar.

  2. Select your desired language from the list.

  3. Story titles will update to display names in the selected language.

→ Preview the course

Before publishing, use the Preview button to check how the course appears to learners.

  1. Click the Preview button in the top-right corner of the editor.

  2. Review the course as it will appear to new hires, including story order and content.

  3. Close the preview and return to the editor to make any final adjustments.
