Overview

It is not always possible to explain everything in a single page or chapter in a fun and engaging way. Another effective way to keep new hires informed is by adding files to the knowledge section. Add private file(s) to a specific user

This guide provides instructions on how to add (private) file(s) directly to a specific user, ensuring that each individual has access to personalised resources that meet their unique needs.

You can upload various file types, including images and documents, allowing users to receive the specific materials that will support their onboarding process.

Steps

Below you can find the step-by-step guide to add a file to a specific user:

→ Access User Management

Click on User Management in the menu on the left.

→ Locate the User

Use the search bar to find the user you want to add a file for. Click on their name to open their profile.

→ Upload the File

Click on Files and Forms and then select Upload Files. Choose the file you want to upload. If the file is found, select it and click Open to upload it. The file will now be available to the user once you click Save Changes.

Where can the user find the document(s)?

The user can find the document(s) in the Knowledge section of the Appical platform under 'Files':
