The checklist is like a task list with points that a new hire shouldn’t forget or tasks that he or she has to complete. An example of an item in a checklist is “Set up email account” or “Obtain passwords”. When a user successfully completed a task, he or she has to check it off on the checklist. The checklist can be edited in the editor. Users have the option to hide completed items in the Manage preferences tab.

*We recommend to use Google Chrome to ensure an optimal experience when using AppicalNow.

Step 1. Click on ‘Courses’ in the menu on the left.

Step 2. Next, click on ‘editor’ in the bottom left corner of the course where you want to add a glossary.

Step 3. Click on ‘Knowledge’ in the top left of the screen

Step 4. Click on "Add a knowledge item" on the bottom-left of your screen.

Step 5. We’re almost there. An empty checklist is like an empty wallet, not very useful. The next step will be adding items. Head over to the new menu item that you just created and click on the button that says view.

Step 6. Click on the button that says ‘Add Item’

Step 7. It’s possible to sort the items by category so all the items that fit in the same category are grouped together. In the next step we will learn you how to make categories. Fill in items that you want to add next and add a description in the field underneath.

Step 8. Next, set the amount of days that a user has to complete this specific item.

It starts counting from a users first day (set in profile), or if not present the course start date (Open Invite, CSV Invite). If none of those are there, it takes the day of first login

Done? Simply click on ‘Create’ and ta-da you just added your first item into your new checklist.

Step 9. As promised, we will learn how to make different categories to organise the checklist a little bit. Click on the button that says ‘Categories’. Click the button and a new window will pop up.

Step 10. Click on ‘add a category’, type the name of the new category and click on ‘add’.

You can drag the categories to set them in the desired order. Dragging a category all the way to the right will give you a pop up that asks if you want to delete the category.

Hooray! You've just added a checklist to your course!
