How to add Groups to the People Finder

Add new hires to the People Finder, based on their profile

You can show your new hires in the People Finder as well. To do this you need to have groups. Learn how to create and manage groups here.

*We recommend to use Google Chrome to ensure an optimal experience when using AppicalNow.

Step 1. Click on ‘Courses’ in the menu on the left.

Step 2. Next, click on ‘editor’ in the bottom left corner of the course where you want to add a glossary.

Step 3. Click on ‘Menu Items’

Step 4. Navigate to the People Finder and click on the gear icon to open the menu.

Step 5. Click on 'Settings'.

Step 6. First select a category, this is the category under which the users of a specific group will be displayed in the People Finder. I created the category 'Marketing' for example.


Step 7. Select the groups that you want to add to the People Finder at 'Select Groups'. Once again I selected 'Marketing' as I want to show the new hires that are assigned to the group 'Marketing' in the category 'Marketing'. All users in this group will be added to the People Finder.

To show their email addresses as well. Select 'Yes' at 'Show group user email'.

Hooray! You now know how to add new hires to the People Finder!
