Overview

When you extract the content of your course pages, it is downloaded as an Excel file for easy reference. However, by default, Excel doesn’t automatically display all the text within a cell. To ensure that your content is fully visible and ready to be printed without text cut-offs, you will need to adjust the column settings.

Example
Imagine you’ve just downloaded your course pages into an Excel file. Some cells may contain a lot of text that’s cut off, and this can be problematic if you need to print the document.

In this guide, you will learn how to adjust your Excel settings to make your course text extraction fully printable, ensuring all text is visible for an optimal printout.

Steps to Make a Course Text Extraction Printable

→ Open Your Downloaded Excel File

Start by opening the Excel file that you downloaded after extracting the course text.

→ Select the Columns

Highlight the columns that you want to adjust. You can select both columns by clicking on the column letters at the top (e.g., A and B).

→ Enable Wrap Text

In the top menu of Excel, find the Wrap Text option (usually located in the Home tab in the toolbar). Click on it to ensure that all the text in the selected columns is displayed within the cell without being cut off.

Tip: You may see a "wrap" icon in the toolbar (a line wrapping inside a box) – clicking this will display all text.

→ Widen Column B

For optimal readability and print formatting, it’s a good idea to adjust the width of column B.

  1. To do this, hover your cursor over the boundary line between column B and C at the top of the page.

  2. Once the cursor changes to a double arrow, click and drag to widen column B.

→ Check the Text Display

After enabling Wrap Text and adjusting the column width, check that all of the text is now fully visible in the cells.

→ Print the Document

Once the text is fully displayed, you can go ahead and print the document without text being cut off.
