📌 Note: We recommend to use Google Chrome to ensure an optimal experience when using AppicalNow.

Overview

Easily manage the visibility of your course Stories by toggling between draft and live modes. This feature allows you to create, edit, and refine entire Stories while keeping them hidden from users. Once you’re ready, you can make them live with a single click, ensuring your content is polished and ready for your audience.

Example

Suppose you’re preparing an onboarding Story for new employees. You can keep the Story in draft mode while you add and refine content. Once everything is polished and approved, you can switch the status to live, making it instantly accessible to new hires.

📌 Important Note: When you change a Story’s status from 'Draft' to 'Live', the 'Story Unlocked' email notification will not be sent automatically. This email is only triggered when a Story is unlocked using the time-based unlocking feature.

If users are already mid-journey in their onboarding process, you will need to notify them about the availability of the new Story. Consider using tools like Push Notifications or other communication methods to ensure they are aware of the new content.

Steps to Change Story Status

→ Access Your Course Editor

  1. Navigate to the 'Courses' section in the menu and click on the 'Editor' button.

  2. In the stories menu page, locate the story you wish to change.

  3. Click on the menu icon in the top-right corner and select 'Settings'.

→ Locate the Status Bar

In the Story settings, find the status bar and click the arrow in the right corner to access the dropdown menu.

→ Change the Story Status

Select 'Draft' or 'Live' to set the Story in draft or live mode.

→ Save Changes

Click on 'Save Changes' to confirm.

Note: You’ll notice a yellow dot in the bottom-left corner of the Story, indicating it’s in draft mode.
