πŸ“Œ We recommend using Google Chrome to ensure an optimal experience when using AppicalNow.

Overview

When onboarding new hires, it can be challenging to keep the content engaging and interactive. Text-heavy pages may lead to reduced user interest and comprehension. Additionally, relying solely on static content limits the variety of resources you can provide, which can hinder the learning process.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to add an embed page to your course. An embed page allows you to integrate interactive content from external websites, enriching the user experience and providing access to various multimedia resources.

Examples:

Steps to utilise Embed Pages

Go to Courses > Editor > Story > Chapter > Page.

β†’ Add a new page and select Embed page

Select the chapter in the menu on the left, and "add page".

Choose β€˜Embed’ in the menu on the left and click on the button that says β€˜Add page’ in the bottom right corner.

β†’ Choose a title

Give your new Embed Page a name. Check the Giving your page a name for a guide on choosing a good name for your page.

β†’ Text field

Write a brief explanation in the text field below the title, informing users about the content embedded on the page. This is helpful in case they can not access or see the embedded page.

β†’ Paste embed code

Copy the embed code from the source you are embedding (e.g., YouTube, Google Maps, or any other interactive content provider). Then, paste the code into the text field labeled 'Paste your code here'.

β†’ Info Button text

The Info Button allows you to provide additional context or explanations. When a user clicks on the Info Button, they will see the text you have written in the 'Info Button' text field. Use this space to offer more details or clarifications about the embedded content or the topic being discussed.

β†’ Display it in its full size

At Page Options, you are able to configure answer settings and advanced settings. If you click on select the checkbox at β€˜Show full-size widget’ the embedded content will be displayed in its full size.
