So you found or created a great video and want to use it on your page.
Good news! You don't have to download it or have the actual video file, you can simply embed the content directly to your page using the i-frame embed link.
With an embed link, a piece of the other website content is shown on your own page, without moving the content itself.

*We recommend to use Google Chrome to ensure an optimal experience when using AppicalNow.

So how do you embed a video?

First - getting your video:

Step 1.
Go to the video page you would like to use, and click 'share'.

Step 2. In the sharing menu that opens, choose 'Embed'.

Step 3. Click on 'Copy' to copy the full embed code into your clipboard.

Notice the embed options!
Un-checking the first box will make sure your video ends without leading to other videos or showing other unrelated video suggestions.

Now, planting the video in your page!
Step 1.
Go to the chapter to which you want to add the video.

Step 2. Choose ‘Embed’ from the pages menu on the left, and click ‘Add page’ on the button located in the bottom right corner.

Step 3. Select the desired language and give your page a title.

Step 4. In the text field, fill in the text you wish to accompany the embedded content. Let the viewer know what they are about to see!

Step 5. Paste the embed code (that you copied from YouTube) in the text field that show 'Paste your code here'.

Ta-da! your embed page is ready to roll!

Nice to also know...

  • If a user clicks on the info button at this page, they will see the text that you write in the text field underneath 'Info Button'.
Use this to give the users more information on the question or the subject.

  • At Page Options you are able to configure answer settings and advanced settings. If you select the checkbox at ‘Show full size widget’ the embedded content will be displayed in it’s full size.

  • In the case the suggested videos do still show even though you disabled them, paste this code &rel=0 right after the YouTube link part inside the long embed code, between the link’s last letter and the sign (before the word frame in the embed code)

    Example:
    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-u6DvRyyKGUPASTEHERE" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>
