Sometimes a bug or issue in Appical might not be immediately obvious, or the support team may need additional technical details to investigate. The developer console in your browser can provide this information, such as error messages or failed network requests.
You donβt need to be a developer to use it! Simply following these steps will allow you to capture helpful information to share with our support team.
Example
If a scheduled report isnβt generating, opening the developer console while attempting the action can capture error messages that help the support team identify the cause faster.
π Note:
This is primarily for Editors or Admins users who want to provide extra information to help the support team investigate a problem.
Only use the developer console to capture errors; do not make changes to code.
Screenshots or recordings of errors are sufficient for reporting.
Steps to Access the Developer Console
β Open your browser
The developer console works best in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
Navigate to the page or workflow where the problem occurs.
β Open the console
You can right-click anywhere on the page and select Inspect, then click the Console tab.
Windows / Linux: Press
Ctrl + Shift + IMac: Press
Cmd + Option + I
β Reproduce the issue or bug
Perform the action that triggers the bug or issue.
Observe any messages or errors in the console.

β Capture the information
Take a screenshot of the console including the error messages.
If possible, record a short screen video showing the steps leading to the issue along with the console.
