By setting a time-based unlock, you can control when certain Checklist categories become visible to new hires, helping you manage the flow of information and guide them through the onboarding process step-by-step.

Example: You might want a Checklist category like "Complete Benefits Enrollment" to unlock five days after a new hire starts, ensuring they've already reviewed foundational information before seeing it.

Steps to Add a Time-Based Unlock to Checklist Items

Navigate to Checklist page

Navigate to the Checklist page of the course you want to configure.

  1. Go to the 'Course' section in the side menu.

  2. Choose the course you want to add the time-based unlock to.

  3. Click on 'Editor'.

  4. In the top menu, click on 'Knowledge'.

  5. Find the Checklist tile and click on 'View'.

→ Choose a Category and Set the Unlock Time

Select the category you want to configure and enter the number of days after which it should become visible to the new hire.

  1. Click on the 'Categories' button.

  2. Click on the category you want to set an unlock moment for.

  3. Enter the number of days that should pass before the category unlocks and becomes visible to the new hire.

Note:

  • '0' is the start date

  • '-1' is the day before

  • '1' is the day after

→ Save Your Settings

Click 'Save' to confirm the time-based unlock for the category.
