Overview
The Asset Library uses permissions to control who can access and manage assets, ensuring the right content is available to the right users and courses.
Example: For instance, if your organisation has separate teams for different regions, you can restrict certain assets so only the courses for that region can use them.

Access and editing rights depend on both an asset's course access settings and each user's role.
Steps to Manage Asset Library Permissions
Permissions in the Asset Library work on two levels: course access and user roles.

By default, assets are available in all courses. You can restrict an asset's access to specific courses, which is useful for organisations with multiple teams, departments, or locations, and ensures course editors only see assets relevant to their courses.
→ Role-Based Permissions
Access and editing rights depend on your role:
Admins: Can create, edit, and delete collections and assets, and manage all permissions.
Editor: Can edit assets in collections linked to their courses.
Content Editor: Can use assets in courses they have access to, but cannot manage collections.
