How to sort the People Finder by First Name / Last Name

The People Finder tool in AppicalNow is designed to help you easily search for and find individuals based on their names. By default, the People Finder sorts people by their last name. However, if you prefer to sort people by their first name, you can easily change this setting.

This article will guide you through the steps to switch between sorting by first name or last name in the People Finder tool.


Steps to Sort the People Finder by First Name/Last Name

→ Go to the Courses section & Editor

  1. In the left-hand menu, navigate to ‘Courses’.

  2. Choose the course you want to adjust the People Finder settings and click on ‘Editor’ to open the course editor.

→ Navigate to Menu Items

  1. Navigate to 'Knowledge' on the top section.

→ Access the People Finder Settings

Find People Finder in the list of menu items, then click on the menu icon next to it to open its 'Settings'.

→ Open the Settings Menu

Click on ‘Settings’ to open the People Finder configuration options.

→ Choose Sorting Preference

Select ‘Last Name first’ if you want the People Finder to sort individuals by their last name (default).

Select ‘First Name first’ if you want the People Finder to sort people by their first names.
