Overview

This article explains how to add hyperlinks to text within your AppicalNow pages. Adding hyperlinks allows you to link text to other online resources, documents, or pages, making your content more interactive and enabling readers to access additional information without cluttering the page.

Example:
For instance, if you are sharing company policies, you might summarise the key points in bullet form on your page. You can then add a hyperlink to the full policy document, allowing new hires to access the complete details online if they want to read more.

๐Ÿ“Œ Important:

  • Always test your hyperlink to ensure it leads to the correct destination.

  • Hyperlinks can link to external websites or online resources.

  • Hyperlinks can not link to internal Appical pages.

Steps to Add a Hyperlink in Text

โ†’ Open the Page

  • Navigate to Courses.

  • Select the story and chapter where you want to add the hyperlink.

  • Open the specific page where the hyperlink should be added.

โ†’ Write and Select Text

  • Type the text that you want to turn into a hyperlink.

  • Highlight the text by selecting it.

โ†’ Add the Hyperlink

  • Click on the hyperlink icon in the toolbar or right-click the selected text and choose Hyperlink from the menu.

  • Enter the URL or select the destination for the hyperlink.

โ†’ Choose Hyperlink Options

When creating a hyperlink, you can select from different types of links:

  • Webpage (URL): Redirects users to an external website or online document.

  • Email: Opens the userโ€™s email to send an email.

  • Phone number: Initiates a call on devices that support calling.

Once youโ€™ve selected the type and entered the destination, confirm to apply the hyperlink to your text.

๐Ÿ“Œ Keep in mind:
When using the Email option in a webpage (URL), the link will redirect to the domain part of the email.
For example: [email protected] will create a link to appical.com. Make sure to test email links to ensure they behave as expected.
